Hi!  I’m Paula, and I’m a piano teacher in Germantown, TN.  I’m a mom of five and grandmother of two!  I currently teach around 40 students per week in my home studio.  Sharing the language of music with others is my passion, and I have been privileged to share it with hundreds of children and adults over the last 30 years.  In addition to teaching, I am the pianist at Grace Evangelical Church, and I frequently play for weddings and other events.

As a professional musician, I must be able to read notes as well as chords, transpose music to other keys, improvise, accompany solo musicians, and play with groups of musicians.

My goal for my students is for them to be fluent readers and “speakers” of music, so my students learn sight-reading skills, technique, theory, scales, and chords.  Most importantly, they learn to express themselves by making beautiful sounds at the piano.

Learning the language of music is a challenge, but we try to have fun along the way….and the rewards are priceless!

I am an active member of the National Music Teachers Association, Tennessee Music Teachers Association, Greater Memphis Music Teachers Association, The National Guild of Piano Teachers, and the Germantown-Collierville Area Piano Teachers Association.  I encourage participation in these organizations’ events.
